David Valdez

David Valdez says of himself:

"... I was born on Christmas day 1985, and I have been writing since I was in the third grade. Not just poems, but stories as well. Now I am working on a novel, which should be finished sometime next year. I am currently a student at Monsignor Farrell high school in Staten Island, NY."

"For Better and Worse"

A bird in the air,

a silver chain,

the heavens' stare,

and a widow's pain.

An angel that once skated,

an ocean to be scoured,

a war to be negated,

an animal to be devoured.

Life: A sea of flaws, impurities and showbiz,

yet a man goes through so much,

just to call it his.
